Complesso scolastico
Egna (BZ), Italy - 2009
The Competition Announcement envisaged the realization of an extension of the existing elementary school and a new kindergarten that also constituted an opportunity to redevelop the urban fabric of the Historic Center. The project concept pursues an organic restoration of the block by providing a structured sequence of built volumes, compact in the masses built but rarefied thanks to external and internal voids. The idea becomes an architectural language identifying two principles on which to intervene: the clarity of the plant and the expressiveness of the material that translate into a texture of material volumes in reinforced concrete with specific shades of local stones with wooden inserts and fixtures.
