Riqualificazione cava dismessa

Lucca, Italy - 2006

The project intends to add a soul to the environmental restoration under way in the quarry object of intervention providing a settlement that has as a basic philosophy the reappropriation of injured places, modeling the new buildings in such a way as to adapt to nature, level curves and respecting profiles and geography. The new settlement, mainly residential, has a configuration of plaques and incisions, erosion and excavations, fractures and cracks and the project area is configured as a green crater, at the center of which is a public park, green space on whose edges the residential types are located.
