The preliminary project of the new multifunctional exhibition center known as Parco Expo is part of a broader urban redevelopment program for a large urban area located along a road and traffic junction. In addition to the functional recovery of an old disused industrial facility, the program also includes the redesign of the fabric built with a mixed, residential, commercial and tertiary destination as a connective element between the consolidated city and a new large urban park. The large exhibition center spread over an area of bout 50.000 square meters is a new reference in the city scene, a new element of visual and functional connection between the two parts of the city strongly separated by the presence of the road infrastructure.
